NITDA is the clearing house for IT projects in Nigeria, thus we are the implementers of the Nigerian IT Policy. Under the framework of the Nigerian IT Policy we have developed various Frameworks, Policies Standards and Guidelines for the development of Information technology in the public and private sector.

The Nigerian Standards Framework of Nigeria: Information Technology, just like any other discipline is guided by standards that ensure uniformity and regulation of IT infrastructure, software, web solutions and all other IT related aspect. The Computer Network Architecture Standards (COMNAS) Framework: Available records show that “Establishing and Managing Government-wide Computer Networks and Security" provides an overview of guidance given in the five parts of the BS ISO/IEC 18028 standard, including network security risks faced by modern infrastructures using LANs, WANs, wireless, broadband and VPNs as well as internet security.
