Inauguration of NITDA Governing Board: On the 17th of September 2009, the Honorable Minister of Science and Technology Dr. Alhassan Bako Zaku inaugurated the governing board of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). DG NITDA receives NCS fellowship: On December 15th 2009, the Nigerian Computer Society (NCS) conferred on Prof. Cleopas Angaye, DG NITDA and nine others the distinguished fellowship of the NCS in recognition of their immense contributions to the development of IT in Nigeria. Standards Framework for Nigeria: Stakeholders Forum: In November 2009 NITDA in collaboration with Connect Technologies, one of NITDA's consultants held a Stakeholders Forum engaging the general public and NITDA's key stakeholders in a discussion about a framework for IT Standards in Nigeria.
